Personal Statement
My passion for baseball started when I was little. When I could barely walk, I was spending time in the dugout watching my father and uncle continue to play baseball in adult leagues after their college careers came to an end.
From then on I was hooked and have played baseball every chance I could. I have always been undersized, which has forced me to work harder and develop a better understanding of the game to be able to succeed. In the past year, I have found myself working out, hitting, and throwing year-round to better improve myself and prepare for the upcoming seasons. I am also involved in baseball in other ways as I enjoy coaching younger kids, umpiring, and giving hitting lessons.
This work ethic has also translated into the classroom as I have constantly been a top-performing student in my class, taking college-level classes from the time I was a sophomore, and excelling in them.
My goal is to find a great school to get my degree, where I can continue to compete at the game I love.
