Since I began playing baseball at age 4, I fell in love with the game and told everyone I wanted to play at the next level. I have put in countless hours studying, playing, and practicing everything baseball on my own time as well as with my team. I believe that I can always learn more and it is important to put the work in both on and off the field. My parents have always stressed the importance of setting goals and working hard to achieve them through education and a strong work ethic. I started catching at a very young age and began working with a former MLB catcher that really taught me not only the physical but also the importance of the mental aspect of the game. In school, I have been the starting catcher since sixth grade and have called the pitches and plays for the games ever since. I think it is important that you work hard and be a team player. I am always the first one at practice and the last to leave. As a catcher, my job has always been to lead the team by pushing them to play hard and stay focused to win the game.
