Yogi Berra once said “Baseball is ninety percent mental and the other half is physical.”
I consider myself a student of the game. I put in the work to get better and to help the team be the best we can be. My goal is to win the game before the teams even take the field. In addition to hard work in practice, I also work hard in the classroom and in life. Yes, I’m a skilled baseball player, but I’m also a 4.0 student and an Eagle Scout. Mental preparation for baseball is more than knowing the plays...I also believe in being cool, calm, and collected. It is better to be level headed than uptight. I don’t think our team should nervous around each other and we should be comfortable telling our teammates anything. Please know, I will bring more than just the stats to our team by bringing out the best in everyone.
