Kai Rathjen '26 Recruiting Profile

I have loved playing baseball for as long as I can remember. I started playing coach pitch baseball when I was six.  I continued to play in Little League, and then played on several tournament ball teams since I was ten. I've always been a pitcher ever since my grandpa taught me how to pitch when I was in Little League. Pitching is what I enjoy the most, but I also play first base and outfield. 

I pride myself in getting good grades and use that same work ethic on the baseball field to strive to be the best in whatever I do. I enjoy learning in school and going to college someday would be an amazing opportunity--playing sports at the college level would be an added bonus. In addition to playing baseball, I also run cross country and play basketball. Baseball is my main sport, but I also love participating in the others and staying active year-round.

Being a freshman in high school, I am looking to set myself up the best that I can through academics and sports.
