Personal Statement
I am an all-round athlete on the baseball field. I enjoy leading my team, anticipating the plays and being vocal to assist my teammates. I would love to play baseball in college.
I have lettered on my varsity baseball team since freshman year. My freshman year I had 2 spot starts and was a pinch hitter. Continuing into my sophomore year I started all 18 games playing a variety of positions ranging from corner infield to corner outfield. I was top 5 on my team in batting average hitting .333 and leading the team in RBI's with 12.
I have also been playing varsity football since my freshman year. Playing mostly special teams my freshman and sophomore year this taught me to be humble and strive to work harder. This past season in my junior year I was the starting tight end and played inside line backer, outside line backer, and defensive end. Football has taught me how to work well with others it also has improved my strength and speed. Most importantly my strength taking me from being a 5’8 165 pound freshman to a 6’0 230 pound junior.
I have learned to be a leader from many things one of them playing baseball and having people rely on me. I was selected to the Kiwanis Club Leadership Conference last year and learned many ways to positively influence people. I also have a passion as a volunteer firefighter. I am only a Jr. Firemen because I'm not 18 yet. I do this because I love helping people in the community. Lastly I was selected by my classmates as Jr. Class President and am doing my best to fulfill my duties.
I do all of these things while also being an honor roll student and maintaing a respectable GPA.
I would like to thank you for your consideration of me.
