Personal Statement
First, let me say thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. Here are some facts about me as a person and as a player. From the time I was young I've had the desire to play baseball and I've had a passion and love for the game. It is the greatest game in the world that it build on failure to test the will of man. What other game can you fail 70% of the time and still make it to the hall of fame. It all started with the very first word I ever said was ball. I started playing baseball when I was 3 yrs old. I started playing select/travel baseball when I was 8yrs old and started working with my pitching coach Charlie Griffin. I started playing for the D-Bat Elite team when I was 10yrs old; I was coached by Bobby Witt and Rusty Greer. I truly love and enjoy traveling all over the U.S. playing baseball and enjoying the fellowship of my teammates and meeting some wonderful people.
One of my best memories is playing in the championship game of the world series. We lost the game by one run but what really stuck is not that we lost but what happened after the game; all the players and coaches traded hats as a sign of respect and I still have the hat that I traded mine for today. I have nothing but love and respect for this great game. My goal is to find the right school where I can receive a great education for life after baseball as well as a baseball team that will challenge me as a player to be the best on and off the field and challenge me to be a better person. Im willing to play in any region of the country, so long as the school and team is a good fit for me. In my spare time I love to volunteer through my dads company to help out the community anyway I can; whether it is feeding the hungry through plate of plenty, to picking up trash on the side of the road. I also love working and being a mentor to little kids at church or out at the baseball field.
I am 6ft 1in 205 lb LHP; I am a junior and throw mid to upper 80's. I am very hard working with a never give up attitude. I pride my self on being that one guy you want on the mound when the game is on the line. By being aggressive, confident, fearless but yet controlled. I truly love the feeling that I am the one you can always turn to when it is needed the most. However with that be said win or lose I will never disrespect my teammates, coaches or my self. I do not boast about personal achievements we win and lose as a TEAM my success starts with me but I know I can not do it alone. My future goal professionally is to be a sports agent after my my baseball career ends. Therefore, I would like to find a school that has a good business program and pre-law program.
In closing thank you for taking the time to learn about me as a player and as a person. I appreciate the opportunity and consideration for your program. If you feel like I would be a good fit to your program, school, and community please feel free to reach out to me.
Thanks Cory Didier
