Personal Statement
When I attended Little League Camp at age 12, they suggested that I should consider pitching, and at that age I began to take baseball much more seriously. I started taking private lessons with a pitching coach, and since then I have improved exponentially. At age 14, I was the first kid in my class to pitch a complete game, striking out 10 batters. My private pitching coaches say that I'm extremely coachable, and have a superior work ethic. My pursuit of baseball has taught me many life lessons including humility, the value of teamwork, and to never give up.
In school I'm currently enrolled in a vocational-technical program in automation, robotics, and electronics, and I'm interested in further studies. Another potential career avenue is for me to someday be a coach after my playing days are over. I have learned a great deal about the game through my private lessons with former professional players, and I'm already developing my coaching skills by teaching my younger brother.
