Personal Statement
For as long as I can remember, baseball has been an important part of my life. I started with tee ball when I was 5, continued to instructional league and little league, and currently play in our local VFW league as well as with my travel team, Flood City Elite. I have some experience in all positions, although my favorite and primary positions include catcher, first base, and centerfield.
Although I am not yet in high school, I have spent some time thinking about what I am looking for in a college environment and baseball team. I am open to exploring all types of college environments, and I am looking for a close-knit team that will become like a family to me. Personally, I feel that I am a good leader to others, and I lead my team by example. I have a strong drive to compete and to do what is best for my team. I am a loyal teammate on and off the field, and I feel that this has been something that has always helped me form good relationships with my teammates and those around me. I truly am dedicated to the sport and my team, and I look forward to being the best player and teammate that I can be in my future. I am also dedicated to doing my best in the classroom, as I have learned the importance of doing well in school as well as on the field. During my time as a student athlete, I have learned to manage my time so I can be my best on the field and in the classroom. In college, I would possibly like to study something in the health sciences field, such as athletic training. Although I am still young, I feel as if I have a good idea as to my plans for the future at this point.
