Personal Statement

Baseball has been my passion since the age of six.  I consider myself reliable, determined, hard-working and a person who has a lot of grit.  These aspects describe me in baseball as well as academics.  When I was 8 years old my parents took me to see a presentation by Joe Jordano.  His words are with me every day.  He said, " Be the best at who you are in baseball and not who you wish you were."  This is what I strive to do every day on and off the field. I have a very realistic view of baseball and work towards making any weakness I may have into a strength while keeping my talents strong.   I am a committed and consistent on all of my teams and I maintain positive relationships with coaches, trainers and teammates as well as my teachers in school.  My passion in school is science and my overall goal is to attain a full International Baccalaureate degree when I graduate.  Volunteering regularly in a nursing home helps me to appreciate the value of our elders in the world.

  • Since the age of 6 I have worked on baseball with professional trainers in all aspects primarily speed, agility, fielding, pitching, hitting, strength and of course the IQ of baseball. The above listed are my most recent and most influential coaches and trainers. I am fortunate enough to play for TCT which is a highly rated baseball training center and my school team have 4 coaches who have played in college and add an extremely high quality of training that most players my age do not receive. Honors Classes:
Yes. I took all honors classes as a Freshman and qualified for all honors gain as a sophomore. We are a full International Baccalaureate College Preparatory Academy. Our lowest A is a 93%. Please take this into consideration. I qualified for full-IB going into my junior year ( 2019-20) , however I decided to focus on the courses I really love the most as IB classes. Those are: Biology, English, Economics and French.

    • I am on the High Honor Roll as a Senior at Eden Christian Academy. My previous high school closed permanently in June 2020. I was an Honor Roll student my Junior year at Vincentian Academy. I completed IB Economics and received certification. I made the High Honor Roll 1st and 2nd 9 weeks and the Honor Roll for the 3rd and 4th 9 weeks of my Freshman Year. In my sophomore year I earned High Honor Roll for all 4 9 weeks periods.
  • Activity
    • I am a Student Ambassador at VA and I volunteer regularly at Saint Barnabus Free Care Home. I have done so since 5th grade. In my sophomore year I was selected to attend PA Junior Academy of Science Workshops and was awarded the Participation Certificate for attending all six 3-hour workshops. Examples are nanotechnology and cryogenics. Also in my sophomore year I volunteered to do a Junior Achievement Outreach program in the elementary schools. I created lessons and taught economics to 3rd graders. I continue to volunteer at St. Barnabas.
