When I was 13, I joined my first baseball team in a township league. I had much less experience than most guys on the team, and didn't know much about the game. I was pretty bad, and I realized that if I wanted to be good and start and play that I would have to outwork those guys to make up for the missed time they had over me.
I'm 17 now, I've become much, much faster, tons stronger and bigger, and most importantly, a much better ballplayer. I have great plate discipline, a good, sweet swing, and I'm as competitive as they come. Losing is not acceptable for me. Neither is having other people outwork me. I have decent speed, a great contact swing with some pretty good power, and I have a strong, good arm with decent fielding. I want to play at the highest level possible. I work hard in the classroom and want to get a good education while playing collegiate ball.
My long-term goal is to play in the pros, if not, the next highest level possible. And I'll outwork the rest of the crowd to do it.
