Personal Statement
When I started playing baseball at the age of 5 I instantly fell in love with the sport, as I've grown as a person and player a large part of my maturing is because of the lessons playing baseball has taught me. Most importantly baseball has taught me that failure is a part of life and I will always carry that with me throughout everything I do. My biggest accomplishment in my baseball career has to be starting on varsity as a sophomore after COVID took away my freshman season, being able to bounce back after not being able to play for a year meant a lot to me and made me want to keep striving to be a better player. My goals at the collegiate level are to continue playing baseball for a program that fits both my athletic and academic needs. My focus has always been in the classroom and it will continue into college as I want to get a degree that will set me up for success as I get older. As far as my senior year goes my goals for the season are to eventually commit to playing at a college level but also take my team into the playoffs, coming from a small school that has never really had a good baseball program I want to go out leaving a mark on the school with a playoff appearance and hope to compete for a championship.
