Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Kayson Santos, and welcome to my page.  Currently, I go to high school at Wilson High School in West Lawn, PA. I am expected to graduate in the summer of 2020.  My future goals are to continue to get better and to be prepared for the obstacles many people face out of college.  Throughout my life, my family has helped me in many ways to become a good person and reach my goals. I have been playing baseball since 5 years old.    Prior to Middle School baseball, from ages 9-12 I was selected and played on travel baseball teams where we were very successful. My passion IS and ALWAYS has been baseball! I’ve played and still do play in the Spring, Summer and Fall. I train every Winter doing strength training, conditioning, individual lessons as well as winter workouts with my teams. In addition I help the owner at Evolution Baseball with his private lessons as well as open hitting and run stations when needed.  This  past year, I played for my school and the West Lawn Owls. During this time, I spent most of the time playing 1B and the corner outfield spots. The season was one to always remember, as I am proud to say I was a starter of the 2018 Junior Legion State Champion team.  Each and every day, I not only strive to get myself better, but also my teammates, as there is nothing better than to win.  No matter if I’m 4-4 or 0-4 with four strikeouts, I will always cheer on and pick up my teammates.  Over the past few years, I have realized how important it is to keep up on your studies. With that being said, I remember that I am a student-athlete, and that school is the most important.  I am a very hard worker in all aspects of my life including baseball as well as my studies. I firmly believe that the work you put in, reflects the results you achieve. I will continue to get stronger and strive to achieve my dreams of playing baseball professionally and becoming an educated adult out of college. If you have any questions, please contact me.
