Nick McQuillen '20 Recruiting Profile

Going to Babe Ruth's PA state tournament has been the highlight of career.  We made the state championship and were a game away from going to regionals. We ended up losing that game, but the experience helped shape me into the player I am today. It helped me see there a bigger things to baseball than winning. This experience helped make me a true leader. My teammates helped me see just how much I love the game, and that I want to play at the college level.

For three straight years, my thirteen, fourteen and fifteen year old year, we made the state tournament, coming up one game short from winning it every year. This experience helped me see just how focused and dedicated to the sport you have to be. We spent our entire summer practicing and we still came up short of our goal of winning the state title. I learned the importance of leadership and teamwork, without receiving a trophy. I want to find a program that challenges me academically as well as athletically. As a two-sport athlete, I believe my work- ethic and leadership qualities can have an immediate impact on your program. I have what it takes to be a leader for your team.
