I have caught for many different pitchers over the years and I can block really well - which allows wild pitchers to relax a bit and let loose. I can frame well and have definitely "created" strikes for my pitchers. I love to catch guys stealing at 2nd - and I love when that impedes their stealing game.
I see the whole game well, and am good at locking in batters' behaviors (strengths and weaknesses) which helps me call pitches. I get along with the umpires - and use that to help my pitchers in every game.
I am open to all kinds of colleges/universities - big or small, and different locations too. I want the best baseball program that fits me and develops me and plays me. What matters most is the culture of the baseball team and its coaches.
I am a good student, and a good teammate. I want to go to the best D1 baseball school I can get into with the best academics. I want to play baseball for as long as I can, but I believe strongly in a great education and the ability to go on with a Plan B in life, should I be injured, etc.
I am looking for a team culture where sportsmanship, competitiveness, and development are truly valued and prioritized. I believe sincerely we win and we lose together; and that that mindset needs to be the standard for a team to truly be unbeatable. I have been on many teams over the years, and I know the psychology of what works and what doesn't. I don't want to be on a team where the culture is every man for themselves because in my experience, that selfish mindset gets everyone nowhere fast.
