Personal Statement
The game of baseball has been very important to me for my entire life even though I am a multi sport athlete having done jujitsu, football, and basketball, baseball has always been my love. I've been blessed with many special qualities, both physical and personality-wise, that make me a valuable asset to any team. Aside from family, school, and spirituality, baseball will always be one of my top priorities.
I've had several coaches from the time I was little until now, and the experience from each one has taught me a variety of things ranging anywhere from basic fundamentals to how to work hard and be persistent in baseball and life. Having played for various coaches in Little League, Little League all-stars, middle school ball, and travel teams, these experiences have given me the opportunity to learn new skills like leadership, versatility, and self-motivation. These are skills vital to any team in order to be successful, and I will contribute these skills in addition to bringing them out in my team. To have a good solid team, you have to have a tough mentality and teammates that respect each other. My personality brings great respect and collaboration to teams, and my former and current coaches tell my parents I play with "all lot of heart" which I'm very proud of. I am a very coachable player with a very positive attitude, and I hustle on and off the field consistently which I believe helps my teammates stay motivated when the competition gets tough.
What I am looking for in schools includes a great education in science and engineering, as well as those that encourage importance in a balance between athletics and academics. I would love to stay in the Southeast at a large or mid-sized school; however, I am open to any opportunity that affords me to combine my athletics and academics. My ultimate goal for college is to play at the highest level of competition possible for me while maximizing my education, because achievement and competition is what truly drives me on and off the field.
