Taylor Head '23 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing baseball since the age of four and it has always been my goal to play at the collegiate level.  I am a three sport athlete and yet baseball has always been my focus sport.  My goals for the future are simple: to play college baseball at a highly competitive level while continuing to learn and get better to benefit of my team, my coaches and myself. I feel that I am a good candidate for any team because I am dedicated to the game of baseball on a personal level but also always with a focus towards my responsibility to the school for whom I play. 

I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically.  As a three sport athlete, I understand the challenges of playing sports while working to meet the expectations of a demanding academic schedule.  Over the past several years, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA in advanced classes while also receiving all-district honors in football, basketball, and baseball. In my freshman year, I started on my high school varsity baseball team, and I saw substantial playing time on both varsity football and varsity basketball teams. I believe in order to be a successful student-athlete, both require commitment, sacrifice, and a strong work-ethic. 

I continue to show these qualities in my high school classes as well as  on my high school varsity baseball team, Dixie Boys summer league team, and Five Star travel team. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on any program.
