Personal Statement

My Senior year has been one filled with hard work, both in the class room and in the training room.  My goal was to graduate with a 3.0 GPA. I missed this goal by a mere .02 points. Looking back, I know there where areas I could have done more and I take this in as a learning experience of how to better management my time. My athletic year saw many ups and a few downs. I was voted as 1st team All-State Defense in Tennessee Division A (first in school history), but our team was eliminated in the second round of State playoffs. I had rather made it to the state finals than receive the individual recognition. In basketball, I was troubled with knee pain and was limited in playing time. I learned quickly how to support and encourage my team, when not on the court, from the sidelines. In baseball, I quickly earned my starting spot on 1st base. My play on 1st continued to improve as I only had 1 error out of 208 total chances. My bat was hot and cold all season long, as I continue to redefine my swing from a torn hip labral the season before. I continue to work on improving each and every day and I am 100% dedicated to learning and working hard on all things baseball. That is one thing I can promise anyone I play for, you will not have a harder working individual than me and a team player. I have been both the dedicated side line supporter and the leader in all three sports I have played. Come see me or follow me, Spring 2020 as I begin my collegiate career at Dyersburg State Community College playing baseball. Number #21. And hopefully at an SEC team near you in the future!
