William Hurley '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Will Hurley and I am a 6'0 160 lb Varsity Baseball player. I attend Greeneville High School in Greeneville, TN. As a Freshman I started on JV pitching, playing middle infield and 3rd. I have been on Varsity all four years and was able to experience winning a State Championship in my Freshman year. That experience helped me set high goals the remainder of my High School Career.  My mom was a 3 time State Champion in HS Basketball and played College ball, so the hard work ethic and winning attitude has been there from the beginning. I started Varsity my Junior year (2020) , pitching and on 3rd base. Unfortunately, as you know, our season was cut short, but we never stop preparing and getting ready for the next season. 

I have played baseball since I was five years old.  I have played travel ball since I was seven.  During my travel ball experience, we won the USSSA Tennessee State Championship and the World Series. This fall,  my travel ball team (323 baseball) went undefeated in tournament play.  

I train for baseball year round attending camps, lifting, doing agility workouts, and on the field daily getting as many reps in as I can.  I pride myself being a student of the game and a hard worker on and off the field.  In the classroom,  I have taken Dual Enrollment classes at WSCC and currently have a  3.29 GPA. I volunteer in the community helping those in need and tutor younger kids twice a week. 

I am compassionate about baseball and all of the lessons I have learned from the greatest sport I get the opportunity to play.
