Colton Taylor '21 Recruiting Profile

I have had a baseball in my hand since before I could walk.  My parents tell me that at tee ball age I refused to bat off the tee and only wanted to be thrown the ball.  I also wanted to pitch to them. Needless to say I didn’t play league until coach pitch age but have played ever since.  Ive have a pitching coach since a young age and always worked on form and consistency.  My strengths are off-speEd pitches, which have been referred to as “wicked” for many years.  In college I’ve been working on my knuckleball and have made it a top go-to.  

I have a true love and respect for the game, coaches, and my team. I strive to constantly improve myself and find ways to help my teammates where possible  .  I appreciate constructive feedback as I know it only serves to make me better. I’m a quiet observer in the game and in school in order to focus on objectives  and learn. I hope to find a team and a school with a positive cohesive environment, one that will challenge me and help me grow.  

My first choice major  is video game design, which seems to be in various degree programs depending on school--computer science, engineering, graphic design, or a "create-your-own" major in Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree. While I enjoy playing video games , my greater interests are in evaluating ways to improve the video games and make them more challenging and fun for players.
