Jayden Richesin '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jayden Richesin, class of 2025.  I attend Sweetwater High School where I started all 31 varsity games at 3^rd base during my freshman season in 2022, while hitting in the 2 and 4 holes over the course of the year.  Additionally, I had 10 relief appearances on the mound for the year and was credited with 6 wins and 4 saves.  As a team, we had a successful season, going 22 and 9 and winning the District 3-2A regular season championship and finishing runner-up in the district tournament.  Honors received during my freshman season include All Monroe County, District 3-2A Co-Pitcher of the Year and being voted to the Tennessee Baseball Report Super Freshman Team.  My performance in the classroom resulted in a weighted GPA of 3.5 and an unweighted GPA of 3.4 during my first year and I am off to a good start this year making all A’s year to date.

For the Tennessee Nationals 16U Red Team, I play shortstop and pitch in relief as needed.  Recent accomplishments for the 16U Red Team include a Fall Perfect Game Championship where I and 6 teammates finished in the Top 10 for the tournament in offensive performance.  During my 3 year career with the Nationals, I have seen time at every position with the exception of catcher and 1^st base and I take pride in being able to play at a high level where I am needed the most.  My goal is to play baseball at the next level at a place where I can compete both on the field and in the classroom.  I still have much work to do to improve my game and I am focusing on getting more defensive reps in training, improving my speed and continuing to develop mental toughness.
