Hi coaches, my name is Conner McDonald. I am excited for the opportunity to play college baseball and continue to grow as an athlete and as a person. Playing baseball gives me a feeling of intensity and every chance I get, I play with that intensity and use the pressure as motivation to put myself above my opponent. I have been playing baseball all of my life, but it wasn't until 2 years ago when one of my select coaches gave all of our teammates a wake up call on what it really takes to play at the collegiate level. He is now playing Division 1 baseball at Oral Roberts University and since then, I have worked extensively on improving all aspects of my game. I consider myself a strong player as far as physically playing the game and mentally being able to understand what it takes to be a great player. I am a leader at heart and will not only push myself, but push my teammates to do better and take advantage of every chance that is given to you because you are only as good as your weakest link. At the school I am in the PALS organization, which is an organization that helps mentor kids without necessarily strong role models in their life and in my free time I am usually doing something with baseball or enjoying time with my friends. I am a good candidate for your team because I will not take this opportunity lightly and work harder than I ever have before to secure myself a spot in your organization. I look forward to getting to know any coaches that I come in contact with and feel blessed to be at this point in my life. Thank you very much.
