Personal Statement
I have been blessed with a family that supports my desire to play baseball as long as I can. My dad has taught me to focus not just on the physical parts of the game, but to understand the importance of the mental side of baseball. As my dad always says, baseball is a game of failures. As I have grown thru my baseball life, it is my goal to be able to field whatever position my coach and my team need me to be the best for our success. Having played infield, outfield, catcher, pitcher, pinch hitter, pinch runner, it is important that I perform to the best of my ability.
My schoolwork and performance in academics is important to me. I realize that when baseball is complete, I need to be prepared for life after athletics. My dad likes to say, "welcome to the world of the student athlete". My goal beyond baseball is to become a veterinarian. I have been a part of FFA throughout high school and we have many animals at home (dogs, chickens, rabbits) that I have responsibility to care for.
My goal is to find a school that I can provide the best of my athletic abilities, and to be the best teammate, while finding a school that will help me in my long term success as well. I'm going to give everything I know to give, and then some. That's what you can expect from me, because that is what I want in my teammates.
