Personal Statement
When I started my freshman year at Brentwood the baseball team had won district the past several years so I was able to learn from an experienced core of leaders. Last year our team captain was injured for most of the season and I had the opportunity to step up into a leadership role on the field. I grew a lot through this experience and I am now ready to lead the team into a much harder district as an upperclassman.
This past year has been tough on my family. My father is a disabled Marine and has been moved to a memory care facility. Helping my family get through this time has taught me more about being a man and I feel that I am a better person and leader because of it. I believe that my leadership abilities can help any program and I am ready to grow more as a baseball player and a leader in college.
