Personal Statement

Integrity, humility, hard worker and dedicated are a few traits that make up who I am. I have always taken as much pride in my schoolwork as my athletic achievements for it shows as I was inducted in the National Honor Society in 2018 at Blooming Grove High School. Maintaining a high GPA no matter the level of classes is very important to me. I do whatever necessary to reach my full potential as a student athlete. Doing so allows me to stay eligible on the field, set a positive example as a team leader showing the younger kids its as important to be successful in the class as it is to be out of the class, also be there for my teammates when they need me the most.

Sports have been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember. No matter the sport, if there was a ball involved, I enjoyed the game and the competition. Growing up I played baseball, ran track, basketball ( until last year),powerlifting and football. Baseball is my passion. It is a game I love to play and a game that I excel at playing.  I started on varsity my freshman year in baseball and football.

I started playing baseball at age 5 and primarily played 2nd, shortstop . At 13, I knew my chance to play varsity at a young age I would have to move to the OF because there were several middle infielders on varsity already, so I dropped everything I learned my baseball career and learned a whole new position and focused on developing my skills as a outfielder. After a short time at the position my freshman year I was an honorable mention OF and my Sophomore year I was 1st team all district OF

I pride my self with being a leader and someone others look to for advice or leadership. I prepare for and expect success; I expect to win. Winning is an attitude. Given the opportunity to continue toward my goal of achieving excellence both in the classroom and on the diamond, doing what I love, would truly be an amazing and a sense of an accomplishment for all the dedicated hours of working out and doing drills during offseason to improve my skills.  Baseball is not only a sport but I have learned life lessons along the way as well.  It has taught me humility, hard work, and dedication to name a few.
