Personal Statement
My goal athletically is to learn, practice, and excel to improve myself as a baseball player. My goal academically is to apply as much effort in the classroom as on the baseball field. I want to continually learn from my coaches in high school, travel team, and private coach as they all have different strengths to bring to the learning table and how to help me to be the best that I can be. I want to continually practice to improve basic techniques and master those techniques. I want to continually improve my game both offensively and defensively to bring me to a higher level of playing. The ultimate goal is to excel to be able to continue baseball beyond high school to the college level. I understand that very few make it to this level; however, this is the goal I have set for myself. Just as equally important is my goal to improve academically.
I have been playing baseball since the age of four. What makes me a good candidate for baseball is that I have played every position on the field, easily adaptable, and a team player to help benefit the needs of my team. I play travel baseball for Brazos Valley Renegades and have made roster yearly since 14u. I am typically an outfield player for travel ball; however, since I am utility, I have played infield as well. For High School Baseball, I play utility including both infield and outfield. Freshman year I received 2nd Team All-District Pitcher. Sophomore year was cancelled due to COVID and no awards this year. Junior year I received 1st Team All-District Outfielder. Main positions played this year for high school included outfield, relief pitcher, 1st & 3rd bases. I have lettered in Varsity baseball for high school since freshman year. I would love the opportunity to play a position on the field at the college level and will put forth my best effort.
