Tyler Howell '18 Recruiting Profile

I am 6'1" and weigh 190 lbs. My primary and secondary positions are Shortstop/Pitcher; however I consider myself to be a utility player because I have experience playing every position. My hometown is located in College Station, TX. I currently have a 4.0 GPA. For my first two years I played high school baseball at College Station High School but I will be attending A & M Consolidated High School for my final two years. Currently I play club baseball with the Brazos Valley Renegades. I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and field. I would like to pursue a university with an outstanding academic reputation in the field of engineering. I hope to earn an academic scholarship at the institution that I attend in order to help my family meet the financial obligations of college. Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate impact on the team, but I also understand that I will need to earn my spot in any program that I am fortunate enough to join in the future. Some of my best qualities that I bring to a clubhouse include my work ethic, positive attitude, and leadership abilities. My dream is to play baseball at the collegiate level, and all I ask is for the opportunity to show what I can do.
