Personal Statement
Coaches,
My goal in life is to get an education, first and foremost. Also, becoming the man I know I was meant to be is a huge priority in my life, all thanks to my God, my parents, and baseball. You might be wondering, "Why would this kid be a good candidate for me to recruit?" Well, I'd be happy to answer that for you. Baseball is as important to me as the air I breathe. I know and love this game like a fat guy loves dollar hotdog day at Globe Life Park. My dedication to every aspect of my life, my leadership skills on and off the field, and the respect I have not only for myself and my coaches, but for my fellow teammates sets me apart from any other recruit you can consider. I hate to break it to you Coach, but not everyone is made to play "the game." I mean, you can be strong and fast and have the best hand-eye coordination that this world has ever seen, but you still lack something...the mind set. You either have it, or you don't and trust me, I have it. I'm a quick thinker. I run plays through my mind before they even happen. I play over and over in my head where I need to throw the ball once it's hit to me. Anyone who knows me would express to you that my integrity doesn't just stay with me on the field like some players I've come across. If my coaches or classmates need anything from me, I'm more than happy to be of assistance. This happens often since I'm the team captain of both Como-Pickton's baseball and football teams. I'm quick to listen and slow to speak. Learning is something I find interesting and fun. I excel in my courses and have great relationships with my teachers and peers.
Thank you for your time and consideration for me as a player on your team.
