Personal Statement
I have always had an aspiration to play baseball at the college level, but one of the biggest dreams I have in my life is to get a college education because no matter what, that education will always be something that you have, and it can open an endless amount of doors. Education has always been a big thing in my family and I strive to do my best in all of my classes. I started playing baseball at the age of four years old and I have had a passion for the game ever since. I love the game more than most things in my life and I practice any chance that I get. The biggest thing I have learned playing baseball is, no matter what, always keep your head up and keep pushing forward, because baseball is a sport where often you fail more than you succeed and you have to be able to keep pushing forward even if you are failing.
In November of 2019, I dislocated my shoulder and was out of sports for two months. I knew my shoulder would not be near the strength it was in the past, so as soon as I got released by a doctor, I instantly started doing everything I could to get my shoulder back to the strength it was. my shoulder is nearly back to where it was in the past and I still do whatever I can to continue to strengthen it. I have always considered myself as a person with very high energy and I try to be very uplifting and encouraging towards my team mates. Sportsmanship is something that I think is extremely important and I pride myself in having it.
