Personal Statement
The goal of every athlete is to make it to the collegiate level, but the reason as to why may vary. Mine however renders upon the simplicities of doing something that has always brought me joy. I am not doing it for the fame or for the money, and if a player is playing the game for that reason then they are no good to the team as a whole. What I bring to a team is not an overwhelming physical stature or a super human like ability to play the game, but what I do bring is heart and passion. With that heart and passion comes determination and hard work. All of the previous traits listed allow work ethic and the ability to be a leader to come into play. One with a team full of superstars will always lose to those who are willing to outwork and beat out any person who feels they have already peaked. My character and the way I carry myself as a man separate me from the other athletes in the country. I am one who leads a group of men to reach goals they felt were overwhelming or even nearly impossible. The way I am on the field is a tribute to the way I am in the classroom and that is a pure role model. Going to college is definitely an aspiration of mine, but what many fail to see is that I also want to be successful in my college career surpassing any bars or standards that have been set for me.
