Alejandro Lujan '21 Recruiting Profile

Currently I'm a senior at Ysleta High School. I'm proud to say that I'll be part of the first graduating class of the early college program at my school, which means I will graduate with an associates degree and also with my high school diploma. I'm 17 years old with so much more to learn, I'm coachable and a good teammate. My favorite subjects consists of mathematics and science. After graduating high school I want to study chemistry, and biology and work in the chemical field of engineering.

I started playing baseball since I was 4, and fell in love with the sport ever since. I first learned to be an outfielder, mainly center and right. I began pitching at 10, and began playing infield in my middle school years (ages 11-13). In my 1st year varsity as a sophomore, I finished in the top 5 of my team in batting average and made all city honorable mention.  Second base is where I found myself most of the time, but will move to 3rd base for my senior year, my secondary position is pitcher. I’m hoping to improve my game each year and get the opportunity to play at the college level. I know coaches look not only for smart players with a good attitude but also with good character. I conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field because I believe that the way you carry yourself reflects on my school and my coaches.
