Personal Statement
Baseball is my passion; I have been playing baseball since I was 4 and have loved it ever since. I have played with a lot of different coaches and teams, helping me grow as a player. I have worked my hardest for years and am working hard to prove to my coaches and teammates that I am a vital part of their team and that I am going to have a bright future ahead of me.
I started playing in local tournaments when I was around 7 or 8, and played in one of the local little leagues starting at 4 years old. I have always enjoyed playing baseball even if it meant sacrificing other things that I enjoy doing. I am playing for my high school baseball team and am noticing improvement in every single player on the field including myself. I struggled in my first semester of my freshman year but am adapting to high school quickly and am noticing large improvements. Through the middle of my Sophomore year I attended Fort Worth Country Day. I then transferred to a vigorous college preparatory christian school called Lake Country Christian School.
I am definitely a team player, and can get along with anyone on the team. I have learned to respect others. I play with my whole heart. I have a positive attitude and encourage others. and to I take pride in being able to hold a conversation easily not only with people around my age but also adults.
I fly around the field, and make good quick decisions. I’m good at running counts deep early in the game while still jumping on my pitch. I may not hit many home runs but I put the ball in the right places for success at the plate. My teammates and I work hard on and off the field. We hit together after practice multiple times a week, and occasionally work on the farm on weekends. I also go to a hitting instructor every Sunday.
I am looking for a college that is in the south, and pushes me athletically and academically, and can help me financially.
