Personal Statement
Baseball has been a passion of mine ever since I can remember. My great instincts on the field and on the bases are some of my strengths. My life changed dramatically 5 years ago with my mom becoming a quadriplegic. I have managed to excel in school and in sports while taking on extra responsibilities at home. Being a straight A student has resulted in being a member of the Honor society. I have been blessed to be invited and travel to Florida for the last 4 years to play in The Series put on by Perfect Game. Baseball Factory has enhanced my skills while attending Dodgertown and the Pirate City World Series. Representing North Texas for two years with USA NTIS Baseball in North Carolina has been an honor. The biggest smiles I get occur when I volunteer at the University Little League Challenger’s games. This allows kids with physical and intellectual challenges play the great game of baseball. This summer I will be playing at the Omaha World Series put on by Baseball Factory and have reached the second level tryouts for representing North Texas again with USA Baseball. The goal immediately in front of me is to play baseball for the US and at the collegiate level.
