Andrew Durst '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Drew Durst. I am from Frisco, Texas and attend Frisco Memorial High School. I will graduate in 2020. I measure at 6'6" and 205 lbs. I bat left-handed and throw right-handed, and play 3rd Base, 1st Base and pitch. My goals for college are on an academics first basis. Academics have always been more important than athletics in my opinion, and I plan on completing at least a four-year degree at a competitive university. Baseball is my passion, and I strive to continue playing the game at the higher levels. I am a great candidate for your college baseball team because I consider myself to be a great teammate, leader,  and have a great work ethic. Leadership is a very defining quality in my life. I lead in the classroom, on the baseball field and in my community. For example, as an 8th grader, I was elected president of my school's National Junior Honor Society. The defining traits that set me apart in the classroom is the drive and the high standards I hold myself to, leading to achieve great academic success. In athletics, I am separated from my peers in my first in/last out mentality and sheer determination to succeed. In the community, I enjoy volunteering at the local Miracle League of Frisco, serving as a buddy in baseball, bowling and basketball. Thank you for considering me for your college baseball program.
