September 2016Personal Statement
I am first, and foremost, a follower of Jesus Christ. I am the youngest of 5 children and look up to my older brothers and sisters as role models along with my parents. I've watched my older brothers proudly serve our country as Marines and have developed my strong leadership characteristics, sound moral character and desire to succeed watching and striving to be as strong as the role models they have been to me. I am a leader within my school amongst my peers and the students preparing to enter high school. I know academics are critical to my future and seek to constantly improve myself through meeting the challenges that an advanced college preparatory education provides. I enjoy mentoring younger athletes and provide student coaching to beginning players in the community. I believe in encouragement, in uplifting each player to strengthen the team and know as a team we rise and as individuals we fall. I am a Christian, a good son, a caring brother to my brothers and strong protective brother to my sister. I am a leader, a student and I am a baseball player. The most peaceful place I know is on the mound and there's no place I'd rather be when the game is on the line.

- Coached by former MLB player Steve Mazur. Joined the roster for the fall 2014 season on the 15u team. Austin Elite Baseball is one of the few organizations in Texas to have a coaching staff which consists of 10+ coaches who have college and professional playing experience. The teams are competitive, players are hand selected based on skill set, drive, athleticism, and leadership abilities. Continues to be active through 2016 season.

- 14u premier team. Coached by former Texas A&M standout Austin Boggs under the direction of former Texas Ranger Tommy Boggs. Austin Slam Baseball is a non profit organization (governed by Diamond Park, Inc.) and is one of the premier select amateur baseball organizations in the state of Texas. Membership is exclusive, and is by invitation only. - The Austin Slam Baseball is a member of the National and Texas Premier Baseball Associations. The Summer Skills Camp is a 6 week day camp directed and coached by area college coaches, former Division 1 players, and former professional baseball players as well as certified fitness trainers. The goal is increased strength, conditioning as well as increasing each individuals skill set to be competitive at the next level of play. Each camp participant is evaluated throughout the camp to measure and ensure progress.
