Personal Statement
My name is Charles Foreman Weddington IV, I go by my nickname Chance. I ma from Cypress, Texas. I attend Northland Christian. I am 5'10", and weigh 156 pounds. In the summers and fall I focus on speed agility and getting stronger. I have been playing baseball all my life in Texas. I hit from the left side and throw right handed. I have the speed and quickness that enables me to steal bases which I love to do to get my team excited. I enjoy making big plays at shortstop which shows my range and take away hits from the other team.
My primary position is Shortstop and Second base, but I consider myself to be a baseball player and will play where ever the coach needs me to play. I play outfield and pitch too. I am a lead off hitter that specializes on getting on base and scoring once on. I am a solid all around baseball player that does whatever it takes to help my team win as a team. I love that my mom, dad, and sister are my support. We have a strong family bond that loves sports and I am blessed to have the love, faith, and support to do what I love.
I envision my college years to be a personal growth period. My goal is to explore a Sports Management or a Business major that will position me well after my baseball career . On the field, I plan to be a dynamic player and positive influence on the team as I see myself as a leader and team communicator. As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my college baseball career, I will strive to be an asset to my team. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches and the school I attend.” I love baseball and want to pursue baseball in college and will consider all opportunities from coaches that contact me.
