Hello my name is John Alvey and I am currently a junior at Stratford High School in Houston, Texas. I have loved the game of baseball since I was 4 years old and a major goal of mine is to continue my academic and athletic careers into college. Academics is especially important to me as I would love to play ball at a college where I could get an elite education.
I have always been interested in all the major sports, but baseball is something that has always been special to me. It is all the different aspects of the game that have kept me drawn in, whether it is working on my swing off the tee or umpiring games at my local little league I always enjoy doing it. The ups and downs of the game have taught me to keep my head down and work hard, and the game itself has taught me many lessons shaping me into the person I am today. I would love to continue this grind by furthering my career onto the college playing field, as I feel I could make big contributions to your program.
