I want to go to college to become a Nurse Practitioner specializing in pediatric oncology. Originally I had decided that I would just focus on my nursing degree. But when I began thinking more and more about baseball, I realized that I can't give up the sport that I love so easily. Giving something up that defines me as a person and has influenced me into becoming the young man I am today was unthinkable.
Even though I started this recruiting process late, I believe I have the qualities that it takes to not only help my future team excel but help me grow as a person, as well. On the field, I am hard-working and dependable. I do whatever the coach asks of me without question and without complaints. I'm very coachable, taking everything my coaches say to heart and doing my best to improve what they believe I need to work on. I continue working on those certain skills until they are at the level my coach wants them at. Lastly, I make sure I'm humble in anything I do. I don't let compliments and praise get to my head and inflate my ego. Instead I stay level-headed and focused because everyone is on the team for a reason. Just because you bat or field better than other members on the team, it doesn't give you a right to act as a superior around your teammates.
Academically I have a 4.09 GPA. I have taken several AP and Honors classes. I always set the goal of getting an average of 90 and above for all my classes. This motivates me to excel in every class. I take the hardworking characteristics from the field and I apply them to the classroom. I have great time management skills and can juggle sports and school. Thank you for reading my profile and getting to know me.
