Personal Statement
My name is Roland Cordova, some know me as Roro, what I can share most about myself is that I am a very family oriented person that is full of faith. I am a strong minded person who is always willing to help others before myself. When I say that I have faith it is knowing that having faith is not always going to be easy but will and does come with obstacles. Even though I know that there are times that my faith will be tested I always try my hardest to keep my faith and just move forward and learn from that moment or situation. Faith has tested me in many ways and I have seen it test my family and friends as well.. On my sophomore year my faith was tested and I injured my right elbow while warming up to pitch. That was the most hardest thing to get through because I was not able to finish off my sophomore year and was not able to play football the following year. . With my heart full of faith I was determined to keep going, working hard, making every practice, every tryout, be a leader, motivator to my teammates and did not give up. My junior year I was finally able to play baseball not to my full potential but I knew and had faith and trusted the process that my time would come. So now here I am my Senior this year and I am fully ready to give it all I have.
