Personal Statement

Hello- My name is Chip King; I am currently a junior and attend Midlothian Heritage High School in Midlothian, TX.  I was born on November 17, 2000 in Dallas, TX.  I am currently 6'0" and 160 LBS. I am a right handed hitter and right handed thrower. My primary position is pitcher and my secondary position is right field, and I also play center field.

I have loved the game of baseball since the age of four.  I truly respect the game and the people I have played with and also competed against.  I have had the opportunity to learn the game from many great coaches, without them I wouldn't be the player that I am today, as I know there is always more to learn.

When I am not playing baseball or not in school I enjoy working out and I am a State Ranked High School Bass Fisher, and I enjoy playing golf and traveling with my family. School and baseball take up most of my time. I work out five days a week lifting and doing cardio work.  I also workout with some fellow teammates from my high school team in the off season. Over the winter months I do speed and agility training along with pitching mechanics and velocity training.   I hit 5th in the lineup.

In conclusion, I would like to assure all of the college coaches interested in me that I'm honest and a hard worker.  I try to be a better student, baseball player and person every day by practicing the values that my parents have taught me. On the field I communicate clear and loudly and I am a team leader by example not just words.  Coaches tell me I am very coach-able and always open to listening to advice and critiquing.

Respectfully Submitted Chip King.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
