Heath Swaim '15 Recruiting Profile

Summer 2014:  I played on the Paris Dixie Majors All-Star Team (18-19 yr olds) this summer.  We won the Texas State tournament held in Marshall, Texas.  We went on to runner up in the World Series held in Ozark, Alabama.  I was the only high school player on the team.  Everyone else was either a recent graduate that was committed to play in college or first year college players.  I earned the short stop position and played all but one inning at the position.  The other inning I came in and closed a game out pitching allowing no runs.  I also batted second in the order during both tournaments. 
Junior season:  I had a great year playing mainly short stop and closing pitcher.  I hit .400 for the season and pitched 20+ innings with a 1.55 ERA with 28K, 7BB, and 0HBP.  I also completed several dual credit college courses this year and am currently enrolled in a couple of college courses this summer at a local junior college.  I am looking forward to a summer of playing a lot of baseball and attending several showcases.
Sophomore season: My name is Heath Swaim.  I am 5'8" 135 lbs and growing.  I am a RHP and short stop.  I was a varsity starter as a sophomore.  I was used as a utility infielder playing short stop, third base, second base, and relief pitcher.  Most of my innings were played at short stop.  I started every game.  I love the game of baseball.  My goal is to continue competing and learning the game after my high school career.  I believe I can make a positive impact on any team.  The only positions I have no experience playing are first base and catcher.
