Personal Statement
My dream is to play baseball at the college level and beyond. Since first walking onto a field when I was 9 years old, I knew I was meant to play baseball. Most recently, I played on Dawson HS Varsity as a Sophomore, being named Newcomer of the Year for 23-6A District. Most recent accomplishments include pitching a No Hitter as a Sophomore against 3rd in 23-6A District, George Ranch Varsity, with 7 IP and 9 K’s to win 3-0. Also in 2019, I threw an additional No Hitter during my outing for the Hunter Pence Baseball Academy win at the Perfect Game WWBA in Tomball, TX.
In addition to time spent playing with my travel team and HS team, I’ve also dedicated free time to pitching and hitting lessons with my trainer, and strength and conditioning training. Over the years, I have always had successful, positive relationships with coaches, trainers and teammates, many of whom I consider family. For my work ethic, I am 110% dedicated to being the best I can be every game. I am always the first one on and off the field, ready to do my job for my team and coaches. When pitching, I focus on controlling the tempo of the game, one pitch at a time. Most importantly, I am able to stay in the zone, keeping positive and focused while on the mound. As soon as I walk on the field, I’m there to do my job for my team and coaches. I’m respectful, dedicated, and highly motivated to succeed. Baseball has taught me life lessons on and off the field.
I look forward to finding a school that provides me the dream of playing ball at the college level, while also obtaining a great education.
