Ely Gordon '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ely Gordon, and I have spent the last two years playing for the University of the Ozarks who play in the DIII ASC conference(UT Tyler, UT Dallas, Concordia, LaTourneau, Sul Ross State, UMHB, Louisiana College, McMurray State, Hardin Simmons, Howard Payne, East Texas Baptist University, Belhaven). I am looking to transfer so I can be closer to home and my family. My freshman year at the University of the Ozarks I led the pitching staff in games started (8), wins(5), and K’s (28). I posted a 4.72 E.R.A. with 49 innings pitched. My Sophomore season I was put into the relief role for the pitching staff. I pitched in 13 games, had the second most innings (34), had the second most K’s (31), and posted a 4.26 ERA in conference. I am in the best shape of my life and just looking for another opportunity to play baseball at the next level. I have gained a lot of confidence on the mound these past two years through game experience and knowing i prepared myself in the offseason. I will work hard in the classroom and have improved my GPA each semester I've been at college. My passion for the game and will to work would make me a great fit for your program

His control is on point and the way he competes on the mound is amazing. It’s very deceiving because it looks like it’s about to come 95 but comes out 80-85.
