Personal Statement
Relocating to Prosper, Texas has played a huge role in my personal, academic and athletic growth during my first year of high school. Prosper High is known for its competitiveness in all sports. The baseball program is extremely selective which continues to push me to be the best I can be academically and athletically. I was fortunate enough, through hard work and determination, to make the freshman team and was able to contribute to our team finishing 1st in District.
My passion for baseball started when I was 9 years old. After my first season of playing, I fell in love with everything about the sport. It challenged me constantly and taught me that failure isn’t a setback but rather a stepping stone to help me reach my full potential. It is always my goal to do more than what is required and push myself to constantly hone my craft as a center-fielder and at the plate. I have been blessed with coaches who continue to push me and have allowed me the opportunity to grow through adversity while playing the game I love. I am looking for a college program that will continue to push me athletically and academically, while allowing me to contribute to the success of the team. I am a coachable, self-motivated, hardworking leader and am confident I have what it takes to make a positive impact to your team.
