After originally committing to the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, and playing there in the Fall of 2014, a coaching change led to me transferring to Alvin Community College (Alvin, TX), where I played the Spring 2015 season, helping lead our team to a 41-15 record and #7 national D1 JC ranking, batting .357 with a .478 OBP and .994 OPS (.370/.482/1.015, respectively, in conference play), hitting .404/.432 with runners in scoring position, and being one of a few freshman to receive All-Conference honors. In the Fall of 2015, I was invited to represent Alvin in the TX/NM Junior College All-Star the last weekend in September. Academically, I have a 3.60 GPA after my freshman year (3.8 at ULL; 3.6 at ACC; 3.25 on college credit hours earned during HS) and am on pace to graduate in 4 years.
With the quality of the coaching and competition I'm getting at Alvin CC, as well as the NCAA's 4-2-4 rule and my desire to not sit out a season, I'm currently attending and playing for ACC again in the Spring of 2016 while looking for the right D1 program/fit to play my junior and senior seasons.
