Personal Statement

  • My name is Kendall Coleman, I am a 6'4 195 pound Senior at Rockwall High School in Rockwall, Texas. My primary positions are CF and 1B and I run a 6.7 - 6.8 60 yard dash.

I have committed and signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Go Hawkeyes!

I attended the Perfect Game WWBA in Jupiter, FL and 17U WWBA in East Cobb in 2011 and 2012. I was named to the 2012 All-Tournament Team at both Jupiter and East Cobb.

I participated in the 2012 Area Code tryout on June 11, 2012. I tried out and was given the opportunity to play in the USA Baseball 17u NTIS in Cary, NC in 2011 and 2012.

I have been playing baseball since I was 4 years old and my dream has always been to make it to the show. I play summer ball with the Texas Blackhawks (Aguiar) and we have been playing 18u since I was 15 years old. We have gone to the USA Baseball 16u Junior Olympics twice. In 2010, we got 5th place.

One thing that I want the schools that recruit me to know is that I always offer hard work, effort, and leadership. I leave everything on the field no matter if it is a practice or a game. I am looking for a school that has a good academic reputation and is very competitive in baseball. I would like to play spring baseball in mild to warm weather. I would like to major in Sports Management. My goal is to play baseball at the highest competition level possible.
