- 2021 Spotlight
Personal Statement
My name is Ryan Avalos and I am part of the class of 2020 at Lake View High School in San Angelo, Texas. I primarily play 3rd base, but I also play short stop, 1st base and pitch for Lake View. My freshman year I got moved up from JV to Varsity as the starting 3rd baseman halfway thru the season. Some of my accomplishments to date are 2018 All District 5-4A Honorable Mention Infielder, Lake View Varsity Baseball Co-MVP (Holland's Award of Excellence Lake View) 2019 4-5A 2nd team All District, 2019 Comanche Classic All Tournament Team, 2019 Lake View Varsity Baseball Co-MVP (Holland's Award of Excellence Lake View) and 2019 All-West Texas Baseball team. I am beginning to explore my college options and am very interested in attending and playing for a college with great Christian values, strong academics and a winning baseball tradition. I am looking forward to my college years being a time of personal growth and life experiences. My goal is to explore a business management major that will position me well for the future. On the baseball field, I plan to be a dynamic player with a positive attitude and be a great influence on the team. As I continue to grow both physically and mentally throughout my college baseball career, I will strive to be the best teammate and an asset to the infield, batting lineup and pitching rotation. Most importantly, I will hold true to my Christian beliefs and conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field, because I know that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches, my family and the college I attend.
