Personal Statement
I found success in academics from a very early age, starting out in the gifted program during Elementary School. I truly enjoy the opportunity to learn and advance my knowledge. At age 9 my coach put me on the mound and I immediately developed a passion for pitching. I have always had an interest in playing college baseball. As much as a great baseball program is to me in college, a great academic school is just as important. In college, I plan on pursuing a degree in engineering.
During high school, I made the varsity team as a freshman. During my sophomore season, I helped my team to the 3rd round of playoffs posting a .74 ERA in 38 innings with 68 strikeouts. This year, I have earned the honor of being selected into the top 40 4A Texas high school baseball players to watch during the 2019 season.
One of my favorite parts of baseball is feeling apart of a family. I enjoy having teammates who work hard and push each other to the best of their abilities. Another important part of baseball for me is having a good connection with my coaches. It is important to me to have a coach who supports me, believes in me, and pushes me to be better on and off the field.
