Personal Statement

I have always worked hard and consider myself self taught. I have not had the privilege to play on a club team which has resulted in even more self training. I have always worked well with my teammates and respect the instruction and critique from my coaches. I use this instruction to continue my training and work on new techniques. I feel that my character traits that I have mentioned makes me stand out from the average player.

Academically, I am a little above the average student. However, I do plan on spending more time on my academics over the next 2 years than I have in the past. I understand the need to improve my academic skills as I prepare for my college education.

Sean is a lean RHP who graduate in 2022. He works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and fires from a clean/loose arm action. He gets strong glove-side lead and stays directional toward the dish. FB ranges from 70-72 mph. Breaking ball shows 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 2 years to further develop, Sean has potential with time and room to progress his game.
