Personal Statement
I have been playing baseball for as long as I can remember. My brother who is 8 years older than me played baseball and I found a love for the game from a very young age. From the moment I started playing baseball I have always seen myself playing in college and I still couldn't see it any other way. Something I have learned about myself playing many sports is that I can get through anything. Especially getting surgery at the end of my freshman year (for a Labrum Tear) which was very devastating for me. When the thought of losing the sport I found my Identity in came across my mind; I gave my fear to God and put all I had into recovering and coming back better than ever! I continue to focus every day on both skills training and physical strength & mobility conditioning.
Ever since my high school career started, I have been focused on trying to be a leader for my team and those around me. I can guarantee you I will always give my 110 percent not only on the field and weight room but in the classroom as well. My Work Ethic and commitment to excel is what I feel separates me from others. On my TAP results where it says, "May not be focused enough on winning." That is completely inaccurate. My competitiveness is my driving factor towards everything I do....I love to compete against the best and to win! I am looking for a college/team that will push me into becoming not only a better player, but a better man and student.
