My goal is to be successful at something I love doing every single day. I intend own my own business and develop a product. My top priority is to be in a profession to serve people in my community.
Baseball has taught me many things over the span of the last 14 years of playing, including work ethic; humility, acceptance, failure and focusing on the things you can control not the things you can't. The biggest lesson baseball has taught me is humility. It took a long time for me to realize that the only way to truly grow is to accept and move forward. The important thing is how you react to failures and let downs.
It is important to me to show confidence without arrogance and being humble without being weak. No player is more important than the game itself the team. I am thankful for the opportunity and the ability to play baseball every day.
When my baseball days come to an end, I will be a better person because of the life lessons baseball has taught me.
